Matrix 12 manual?

Hi. Not much activity around here, but I just completed a great trade with someone, receiving both a beautiful matrix 12, and also an 8 voice ob-mx (which I am really enjoying).

Now, I probably don't need a manual per se, having used both an xpander and a matrix before, but I figured that it would be good to have. Apparently they did release a matrix 12 manual that was bigger than the xpander one.

I found one site online that has a pdf, but I've had no luck in downloading it or printing it successfully.

Does anyone know the story of the matrix 12 manual (is it worth having in addition to the xpander manual)?

So glad I have one of these again. I'm actually thinking of trying to land an xpander also. Why - well, I love to use these for long evolving drone type sounds, and I can't see how having another 6 voices would hurt. But also because of a little talked about feature of the xpander, which is that it can be used for cv to midi conversion, a rather rare thing to find. As I recall, you can even get this to work independently of the sound functionality of the xpander.

Re: Matrix 12 manual?

Hi,

I checked my collection of manuals and I don't have it.
You may try ask for it in the Xpantastic User's group: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xpantastic/

EDIT: I found a Matrix-12 preliminary operation guide in my archives. Here it is:

Re: Matrix 12 manual?

yeah - the preliminary operation guide is easy to find, but I THINK there is a big matrix 12 manual....somewhere.

Just bought Xplorer. Looking forward to trying to set it up on my mac (using Vmware). For the most part the xpander/matrix doesn't need editing software, but I remember it being very useful (used to use sounddiver) for seeing all of the modulations at once, etc.

Re: Matrix 12 manual?

Grabbed it from here http://www.cem3374.com/docs/Manuals/Obe … x12_OM.pdf .

For some reason I was unable to download it correctly from my mac at home, but I grabbed it here at work. It's 194 pages, which is much larger than the xpander manual....
