Unhandled Exception when Selecting "Settings"

I am using Xplorer in Parallels on the Mac using Windows XP.  I am using a MIDISport 2x2 interface with the latest driver installed.

Before I can select the devices I get the following stack trace.  Following this, no devices are selectable (i.e. empty)

An unhandled error occured. The error was: Value was either too large or too small for a UInt16..
Please save your work and close the application.

Re: Unhandled Exception when Selecting "Settings"

OrangeFunk,

Thank you for your report. Another user did have a more or less similar issue (Midi device list empty on a PC but without this Uint16 message on an Emagic AMT8 device).

I wrote a little tool that may help me sorting this thing out.Can you please follow theses steps:

First ensure that DirectX is enabled on Parallels (Since I don't own a Mac, I don't know exactly how to do this on Parallels, can you please check the . You may try to activate 3D Graphics with DirectX support).

1) Download the archive at this URL:
http://xplorer.programmer.free.fr/downl … erator.zip

In Parallels:
2) Unzip the whole content in a temporary folder
3) Launch the executable named "MIDIDevicesEnumerator.exe"
4) You will see a user interface with 2 buttons: one to get the list of the MIDI devices using DirectX, another one using WinMM. The devices will be listed in the list under each buttons.
5) Click on both buttons. Please note that getting devices using DirectX may take some times.
6) Please copy/paste the whole results of each list in this post.

Thank you.

Re: Unhandled Exception when Selecting "Settings"

Hi there,

Thanks for the rapid turn around in answering!  big_smile

Yep I finally got it working after restarting the virtual machine, reinstalling some drivers. In particular I tried earlier MIDISPORT 2x2 drivers meant for XP SP1 and that did the trick!

Have to say thank you for allowing me to unlock the Matrix 12.  Had it for 4 years and your software showed me how the whole thing works in 2 mins.  Great software and great synth!!

Many thanks!
